Patton [VHS] $2.00 One of the greatest screen biographies ever produced, this monumental film runs nearly three hours, won seven Academy Awards, and gave George C. Scott the greatest role of his career. It was released in 1970 when protest against the Vietnam War still raged at home and abroad, and many critics and moviegoers struggled to reconcile current events with the movie's glorification of Gen. George S. Patt... |

Scream 2 [VHS] $0.99 Fully aware of its status as the sequel to the surprise hit thriller of 1996, this lively follow-up trades freshness for familiarity, playing on our affection for returning characters while obeying--and then subverting--the "rules" of sequels. Once again, movie references are cleverly employed to draw us into the story, which takes place two years after the events of Scream, at a small Ohio colleg... |

Scream 2 [VHS] $2.45 To repeat the phenomenal success of their collaboration on 1996's hit thriller Scream, horror maven Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson did a fair amount of recycling (same movie, slightly different situations), but this sequel comes surprisingly close to matching its popular predecessor. Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Jamie Kennedy, and Liev Schreiber reprise their roles f... |

The Mod Squad $0.67 Julie Barnes (Claire Danes), Pete Cochrane (Giovanni Ribisi), and Lincoln Hayes (Omar Epps) have one thing in common: They're young adults on the wrong side of the law, arrested for crimes of robbery, grievous bodily harm, and arson. Taken in by mentor and father figure Captain Adam Greer (Dennis Farina), they are assigned to a special task force working undercover for the police--the logic being ... |

Fire Dance $11.84 Fire Dance is the follow-up to Brian Keane and Omar Faruk Tekbilek's fruitful collaboration on Suleyman the Magnificent. But while that album hewed closer to traditional Turkish forms, Fire Dance extends Tekbilek's Turkish music heritage into a more wide-ranging landscape. Keane is more a partner than producer here, adding his own deft acoustic guitar playing to Tekbilek's arsenal of Middle Easter... |

Dance into Eternity: Selected Pieces 1987-1998 $14.81 Turkish born and bred, Omar Faruk Tekbilek is a musician whose virtuosity is nurtured by grace and passion. Faruk can play just about any Middle Eastern instrument you can think of--the ney flute, the stringed baglama, the percussive dumbek--and he's a master of them all. But if not for producer Brian Keane, Faruk would be just another Middle Eastern musician playing for belly dancers, which he di... |
