Where can i hire a ballet studio in sydney?
i am a ballet teacher and i plan on running some ballet and contemporary workshops in the holidays around the hornsby/epping area. I have been looking at hiring community centres but i dont have portable barres and i would like mirrors. i normally teach at studios near liverpool so i have no studiop access. If anyone knows of dance schools which rent their studios, equipped with mirrors/barres, i would really appreciate it! Thanks!
to gina - You are not as clever as you think. Clearly i have a job at a studio. In fact i have a job at three studios. I am trying to find a bigger studio to use for one day only to run fun workshops as opposed to syllabus. so yes i would be combining students of different age groups but it doesnt mean i shouldnt run workshops. dont be a smartarse and answer questions with insults just because you have have no answers. a simple no will do.
First of all, you can rent studio space, not hire it.
Usually workshops are run by entire studios or dance companies so that dancers at many levels can participate and be taught by more than one teacher. It would be hard for just you to run a workshop because that would mean grouping all the dancers into one level where more advanced dancers would not be challenged and beginning dancers might not be able to keep up.
My advice is that you look for a job at a studio. If you are a good teacher, you should have no problem finding one.
