What should I do at a dance club/disco on a cruise?

Here's the story. I'm going on my first cruise in April. I just bought some really neat LED gloves on ebay for fun. I've never been to a club because I'm shy and introverted. I don't know the first thing about dancing. However I would like to go to a dance on the cruise to kind of break out of my shell and also for a chance to wear those gloves. However I don't know how dance parties work on cruise ships (or anywhere else for that matter) so I don't know how inappropriate it would be to wear them. I know I'd stand out if I wear them and would rather wear them at an anime convention or something. But since I'm going on a cruise and not to a con anytime soon I have these questions. What's a disco like on a cruise and should I wear those gloves? Thanks!

Each disco has a different atmosphere, and you'll just have to go to a few of them to find out where you feel most comfortable. I would also not wear the gloves the first time. See what it's like first, and then make the decision for yourself. And have a great time.
